Fibe TV is Bell's digital television platform, launched 10 years ago and used by more than 2.7 million users across Canada.
Fibe TV is Bell's digital television platform, launched 10 years ago and used by more than 2.7 million users across Canada.
The mandate of this project was to rethink the recordings section of the Fibe TV platform, in response to negative user feedback. The objective was to propose a new experience for this functionality across the seven supported devices (web/platform; mobile/tablet/desktop/TV), while integrating user feedback. This approach aimed to improve ergonomics and user satisfaction, ensuring a consistent experience across all platforms.

Faced with negative user feedback, we began with an in-depth analysis of the comments received, followed by a competitive benchmark to identify best practices and areas for improvement. Based on these insights, I designed mockups adapted to seven different formats, while integrating team feedback to ensure experience consistency across all platforms. In parallel, I updated the design system, created interactive prototypes on Figma for mobile and Android TV, and prepared the presentation materials for stakeholders.

We started with a competitive benchmark by analyzing solutions offered by players such as Videotron and Telus, to examine the management of recordings in their libraries. We studied their methods of displaying, classifying, managing, and deleting recordings.

On the homepage, we improved visibility and usability by adding recordings to the "Continue Enjoying" section, renaming recordings, and grouping episodes under the same show tile.

With an improved structure, users can easily manage their show recording settings, access show details, and perform bulk deletions. This layout also provides a clearer view to organize content chronologically while informing users of expiration dates and episodes they've already watched.

In collaboration with the lead, who mainly worked on the written content, I designed the visual component of the presentation intended for stakeholders. My objective was to create a dynamic and contextual presentation, aiming to convince and engage around our concept.
